"The Producers" Theatre Show Needs Performers

About the project: The plot is simple: a down-on-his-luck Broadway producer and his mild-mannered accountant come up with a scheme to produce the most notorious flop in history, thereby bilking their backers (all “little old ladies”) out of millions of dollars. Only one thing goes awry: the show is a smash hit! The antics of Max Bialystock and Leo Bloom as they maneuver their way fecklessly through finding a show, hiring a director, raising the money, and finally going to prison for their misdeeds is a lesson in broad comic construction. At the core of the insanely funny adventure is a poignant emotional journey of two very different men who become friends. Rate: All roles will be contracted, paid positions. Additional info: -Video auditions will be accepted until June 10th at 4 pm. -Please bring a 32-bar cut of a song in a similar style to the musical in clearly marked music. -There will be an accompanist provided. -There will be a dance call on the 11th from 2-4 pm, followed by vocal callbacks. -Rehearsals begin August 7th, with a general rehearsal schedule of Monday- Thursday 7-10 pm ( subject to change).
