Actors/Ensemble Wanted for "Gatsby" Show
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. A jazz musical "Gatsby" is looking for talent. Please, see the details below. Additional information: The premiere of the show will be directed by the composer herself and will be performed in October 2023. Rehearsals will take place twice a week in York Region, Ontario. The actor must be willing to sing 2 songs in the show (one duet and one trio), and participate in the ensemble. Simple dancing is required for the role as well. Audition Deadline: June 11, 2023. Audition Requirements: - Online interview. - Prepare a 1 minute monologue in any style. - Prepare 16-24 bars of an auditon song in any style. Tom is a misogynistic football player who was born in an extremely wealthy family. He is married to Daisy Buchanan. However, he has been extremely unfaithful to her throughout the course of their marriage. The actor must be willing to sing 2 songs in the show (one duet and one trio), and participate in the ensemble. Simple dancing is required for the role as well.
Sing and dance in a large group. Small speaking roles are available.
