ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. The theatre is looking for actors of all ages, backgrounds, and experience levels to audition for our live adaptation of "Wind in the Willows." Please see the details below. About the project: Mole. Ratty. Badger. The infamous Mr. Toad! Together, alongside a rich cast of characters, these four friends will take you on a wild ride through the seasons as they tumble and stumble to find their place in the world. Shy and curious Mole craves a life of adventure in the world above-ground where he befriends good hearted Ratty and sensible Badger. Their friendship is put to the test as impulsive Toad consistently gives himself over to antics such as stealing motor cars and hustling them recklessly about the countryside. It becomes the three friends' mission to save Toad not only from himself, but rescue the glorious Toad Hall from underhanded weasels, ferrets, and stoats. A celebration of nature, friendship and loyalty, Kenneth Grahame's treasured characters and their enchanting river home come alive onstage in a color of movement, music, and enchantment in this original adaptation of Wind in the Willows. Additional info: Performances for "Wind in the Willows" will run Thursday-Sunday evenings with matinee performances on Saturdays and Sundays. Performances begin May 11th through May 21st. Rehearsals will begin April 10th and be held Monday through Thursday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Saturday rehearsals will be scheduled if needed and given advance notice. Please note that not all cast members will be called for every rehearsal. Tech week is mandatory and will begin Saturday, May 6th with Sunday off and begin Monday-Wednesday, May 8th-10th from 6:00 pm to 9:30pm. If you are interested, please apply.

A "young", naive animal with energy and life who has never really ventured beyond his own home. He is bright, enthusiastic, and excited about life! Portrayed as being poor of sight.

RattyMale18-56 y.o.All ethnicities

A mature character, Ratty is proper with a bit of a rougher side from his days of seafaring. He is kind, gangly, a little bizarre, and scruffy. The first to befriend Mole. Plays guitar in the show. Knowledge, experience of how to play is would be wonderful, but not necessary. He also sings, but doesn't have to sing well. British or Cockney accent required.

ToadBoth genders18-56 y.o.All ethnicities

Vibrant, dramatic! Always moving, jumping, and springs to life onstage. Actor should be flexible or comfortable with creative movement. Toad is frivolous and reckless. Toad sings, but doesn't have to sing well. Proper British accent required.

BadgerBoth genders18-56 y.o.All ethnicities

The oldest of our characters, but Badger still has lots of fight left in him! Badger is wise and kind.

Mrs. OtterFemale18-56 y.o.All ethnicities

Kind and motherly, she oftens hangs around the bank with her son, Portly. Also doubles as the Gaoler's daughter. Cockney accent and proper British required.
