Seeking local bilingual (English/Spanish) actors for "Shear Madness". ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Please see the details below. Rate: $600/week Additional info: Non-union actors that have their own housing in the Tampa Bay area or are within daily commuting distance are encouraged to apply. Rehearsals begin in January 2023. The show runs February 14 – April 8, 2023, 8 shows a week, and will be presented in English and Spanish. When applying, please include a head-shot and resume. An old-money socialite of impeccable breeding and manner. She wears classic clothes, classic jewelry and the famous Shubert Diamond. Her maiden name is socially prominent in the city where SHEAR MADNESS is set. She knows the names and places that an old-guard aristocrat would haunt. The actress playing MRS. SHUBERT must have her hair cut to a specified classic length so that it is easy to wash and set onstage. Must be fluent in English and Spanish.
Is a preppy-looking, eager-beaver who’s a capable and earnest undercover cop. MIKEY is bright, quick, affable, somewhat deferential, and very helpful at the same time being innocent, naive, and impressionable. He is a believable, ambitious young cop who supplies much of the credibility to the investigation. MIKEY must get his hair washed and blown dry at every performance. His hair may need to be cut to an appropriate style and length by a professional. Must be fluent in English and Spanish.
