ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Seeking talent for "Hero: The Boy From Troy" Play. Please see the details below. Rate: Performers will be paid for workshops, rehearsal, and $65 per show during the tour. Additional info: Workshop: November 14 -20, 2022 Rehearsal: TBD within January 2 – 13, 2022 Local Tour: January 17 through May 6, 2023 The second round of auditions will be held at a later date. Video submissions will be accepted. Auditioners should prepare two songs of their best material; one uptempo and one ballad. If in-person, bring legible sheet music in the correct key. Auditioners should also bring a physical copy of a resume and headshot. Actors prepare 32 bar cuts of their choosing to sing with accompaniment or acapella. Uptempo Musical Theatre, Pop or Soul. Actors are to prepare an acting side that will be delineated for male and female-identifying actors. Memorization is not mandatory. Sides will be sent to applicants closer to the audition date. Only non-equity actors are being hired for this production. No local housing, travel expenses, etc. will be provided. All actors will be required to obtain educational clearances. Performers must be available during the day Monday-Friday for all workshops, Rehearsals, and Tour dates. Occasional evenings may be necessary. You will be notified more than two weeks prior to evening obligations. Audition Deadline: October 1, 2022, at 11:59 pm Eastern. Submissions received after this deadline will NOT be considered.
