The company is holding audition for "Hadestown" Show and looking for actors, please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. About the project: Hadestown: Teen Edition is a haunting and hopeful folk opera that reimagines ancient Greek myths through the lens of modern storytelling. Following the intertwined love stories of Orpheus and Eurydice and Hades and Persephone, the musical journeys from the world above to the depths of the underworld and back again. Inspired by American folk music and New Orleans jazz, Hadestown explores love, doubt, sacrifice, and the power of storytelling in the face of fear. Additional info: Performance Dates: Fridays, April 24 & May 1 at 7:30pm Saturdays, April 25 & May 2 at 7:30pm Sundays, April 26 & May 3 at 2pm Thursday, April 30 at 10am - School Performance Prepare 16 bars (approximately 60-90 seconds) of a contemporary musical theatre or folk/pop song. The song should be in the style of the show, preferably not from Hadestown. Bring a karaoke or instrumental track on your device. A Bluetooth speaker will be provided. Please apply if interested.

Mezzo-Soprano/Alto (F3–C5) The magnetic, life-loving queen of nature and seasons.
Tenor/Baritone (C3–B4) A charismatic guide and storyteller; mentor to Orpheus.
Soprano / Mezzo / Alto (E3–D5; one up to Eb5) Three sisters—sharp, playful, ominous. Strong jazz harmony skills required.
SATB A powerful physical and vocal ensemble representing labor, community, and the world of Hadestown. Movement will be emphasized.
