About the project: Set in an upscale London hotel with a perfect view of the Houses of Parliament, Out of Order is a fast-paced English farce filled with razor-sharp wit, physical comedy, outrageous misunderstandings, and escalating chaos. When Richard Willey, a government minister, attempts a secret tryst with a secretary from the Opposition party, the evening unravels into a whirlwind of lies, cover-ups, mistaken identities, and impossible situations. Auditions involve reading scenes with fellow auditionees to gauge timing, chemistry, and ensemble dynamics. No preparation required. Scenes involving physical closeness will be staged with a trained intimacy coordinator. Auditions may last up to three hours but could end sooner at the director’s discretion.
