About the project: This witty and heartfelt adaptation of Jane Austen’s beloved novel follows the Dashwood sisters—Elinor and Marianne—who are left nearly penniless after their half-brother denies them their inheritance. Forced to relocate to modest Barton Cottage, they encounter heartbreak, romance, and renewal. Elinor quietly longs for the honorable Edward Ferrars, while Marianne is swept away by the charming John Willoughby—until both learn that love requires both sense and sensibility. Rate: For non-Equity actors: $75 stipend (participation in strike required) $25 bonus for SSG Actor Ensemble Members Additional info: Actor’s Pass: Free admission to opening weekends of future SSG shows for one year (non-transferable) Equity contracts are not available.
