Gay. A former 90s pop singer and current trendy bartender. Extravagant ego, quick wit, and strong political opinions. Charismatic but easily petulant when challenged. Needs sharp comedic timing and the ability to play both charming and abrasive. Bonus if actor owns a pocket-sized dog.
LEAD. Physically Imposing. A blue-collar drywaller with simple, bombastic patriotic views. Quick-tempered and cocky, but a softie underneath. Prone to stirring the pot and saying provocative things. Must deliver both a strong physical presence and emotional immaturity for comedic effect.
SUPPORTING LEAD. The mischievous, whip-smart lawyer and executor of the will. Loves manipulating Bruce and Barry. Commands authority and brings a simmering sexual tension, especially with Barry.
SUPPORTING. Bruce’s sweet, bubbly best friend. Tender-hearted, calming, and quietly in love with Barry. A ‘good influence’ trying to keep Bruce grounded.
SUPPORTING. African American Drag Queen. Bruce’s trouble-making friend and “devil on his shoulder.” A fearless gossip with zero filter. Needs big, over-the-top comedic presence.
SUPPORTING. Barry’s toxic, on-again/off-again girlfriend. Narcissistic, volatile, and irresistibly seductive. Brings out the worst in Barry.
SUPPORTING. Barry’s level-headed best friend and workmate. Passive, sweet-natured, and often bearing the brunt of Barry’s blow-ups.
SUPPORTING. A gnarly, hardhat-wearing drywaller. Rough around the edges, blunt to a fault, and unintentionally hilarious. A chaotic wildcard who adds tension and absurdity to every scene.
SUPPORTING. A charismatic cameraman with documentary-style flair. Charming, quick on his feet, and often caught in the crossfire of Bruce and Barry’s antics. Serves as the audience’s “wink” into the absurdity.
SUPPORTING. Husky/Bear Type. A leather-clad, bearded bear with a surprisingly gentle energy. Stoic, grounded, and intimidating in appearance—until he opens his mouth. Comedy comes from the contrast.
SUPPORTING. A fashionable, frail former beauty queen whose presence looms over the entire competition. Eccentric, dramatic, and oddly enchanting. Even in her fragility, she commands the room.
