Description:

ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Seeking singers for "Into the Woods" show. Please, see the details below. About the show: "Into the Woods" is a Tony Award-winning musical celebrated for its inventive storytelling and masterful score, featuring Stephen Sondheim’s signature lyrical brilliance and emotional depth. This production weaves together familiar fairy tale characters—such as Cinderella, Jack (of beanstalk fame), Little Red Riding Hood, and Rapunzel—with new ones like the Baker and his Wife, creating a complex, interconnected narrative that explores what happens after “happily ever after.” Each character is uniquely developed, offering actors rich opportunities to explore emotional nuance, comedic timing, and vocal range. From the introspective vulnerability of the Baker to the determined resilience of his Wife, the cunning charm of the Witch, and the naïve boldness of Jack, every role presents a challenge—and a gift—for character development. The show also features dynamic ensemble roles that contribute to both the storytelling and the thematic depth. With approximately eighteen roles, Into the Woods is ideal for a smaller cast where each actor has a chance to shine. While it's not dance-focused, it includes space for expressive movement and physical storytelling, making it inclusive of both strong singers and “movers.” It’s a rewarding experience for performers ready to dive into the intricacies of Sondheim’s music and the emotional layers of his characters.
