About the project: Dynamic performers, movers, and poets of the African and Afro-Latine diaspora for a choreopoem that fuses poetry, dance, music, and ritual. Step into a world where ancestral memory meets contemporary art. Rate: Paid opportunity (stipend + travel reimbursement for out-of-town artists) Additional info: Rehearsals: Late November – December 2025 (Houston, TX) Performance: January 2026 Premiere When applying, make sure you prepare: 1. One original or published poem (1–2 minutes) that speaks to identity or ancestry. 2. 30–60 seconds of movement that expresses emotion through the body (any style). 3. Use the subject line: “LALO & OSHUN Audition Submission – [Your Name]” 4. Include your headshot, resume, and a short performance reel or self-tape (poem + movement).
