About the project: Rocco is a struggling screenwriter and drug addict who has been hired to write a new screenplay by Halloween. He wears women’s makeup, in particular, magenta lipstick. While writing, he is confronted at gunpoint in his apartment in the San Fernando Valley by his drug dealer. The altercation escalates to Rocco killing the man, and his neighbor witnesses the event. As a result, Rocco is forced to hold his neighbor hostage, and throughout the night, secrets are revealed that explain Rocco’s androgynous appearance and questionable motives.
