ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Directors are currently in need of performers for a New Play Development Project. More details are below. About the play: The play will be a biographical adaptation of the lives of the Canadian architect Arthur Erickson (1924-2008) and his romantic and professional partner, the interior designer Francisco Kripacz (1942-2000). Rate: This is a paid opportunity. The actors will be paid according to CAEA Indie 3.0 minimums for two full weeks’ engagement (ten 8-hour working days total). Both Equity and non-Equity artists may apply. Travel and accommodations are included for out-of-town artists. Additional information: Private workshop: April 22-26, 2025 in Lethbridge, Alberta. Private workshop + public reading: July 15-19, 2025 in Edmonton, Alberta. Actors are needed for a two-part new play development process (dates above). Applicants should be excited by new play development and open to working collaboratively with new text as well as devising and worldbuilding methods. Actors from Edmonton will be prioritized, but directors will consider submissions from across Alberta. When appllying, please submit resume and head shot no later than March 07, 2025.
