About the project: After the high school drama teacher passes away, Jack Baker is unexpectedly tasked with directing the musical. The only problem is, that Jack's not a drama teacher, he's a health teacher, and he doesn't understand the theatre kids or the things they're passionate about. A high school health teacher, who’s just recently found out he’s going to be a father. He’s good natured, kind, and likes being a teacher, but doesn’t understand the drama club or their art.
Just trying to get through the day. Terrified of the theatre kids and their demanding stage moms. Not afraid to use a little manipulation to get what he wants.
(16) Drama club president. She’s had her Tony Award acceptance speech in her wallet since 7th grade.
(16) The stage manager. Takes her job very seriously. Smart, and doesn’t take crap from anyone.
(17) The “jock” of the club. Kind, but seemingly not very bright. Unexpectedly cast as the lead of the musical, he’s new to the group.
(17) Molly’s right-hand man. Totally untrusting of Jack and any other newcomers.
(16) Playing the other lead in the show. Talented and humble, she’s willing to give Jack the benefit of the doubt.
