About the project: SYNOPSIS: Kudzu Calling is a theatrical interweaving of poetry-rich scenes that celebrates Black Southern Love, Black Southern Queerness, Black Southern Playfulness, Culture, and Spirituality. It follows a Wanderer who has returned home and, guided by Trees that are rooted in Southern soil, begins a journey to rediscover herself. Rate: LORT Non-Rep $807 weekly minimum (LORT D) Travel/Housing: Provided Additional info: All characters have some facility with poetry and are able to sing gospel or blues and rap acapella. There will be no understudies. Potential auditions: Week of December 2nd. 1st Rehearsal: May 6, 2025 1st Preview: May 29, 2025 Opening: May 30, 2025 Closing: June 8, 2025 Equity’s contracts prohibit discrimination.
