About the project: "ADVICE" SYNOPSIS: Ron and Joy, a professional couple learn that their biggest screw-up of a friend, Gary, has somehow managed to get a self-help book published by a small press. When the couple attempts to persuade Gary that he should not quit steady employment to pursue dreams of becoming a life coach, they end up uncovering secrets that throw their relationship into chaos. "BAD BOOKS" SYNOPSIS: A worried mother comes to the library for what she thinks will be a reasonable, polite discussion about which books are appropriate for her teenage son. But her confrontation with the town librarian, a woman who cares deeply about her job and her community, sparks a chain reaction of consequences no one expected. A raucous and brash debate in the quietest place in America... the library. (New Play Exchange) "SHEDDING A SKIN" SYNOPSIS: Sometimes you crack. Sometimes you didn't mean to yell that. Sometimes you have to lay low until you've figured it out. And sometimes, sometimes you have to hibernate until you've healed. This is a new day. Shedding a Skin is a story for our times. It's a play about finding kindness in unexpected places; about understanding what our elders can teach us; it's new skin honoring old. It's a play about joy, healing and protest.
