Auditions for "The Sound of Music" show. Looking for cast. Please see the breakdown below. Rate: Unpaid. Additional info: Non-Union. REHEARSAL SCHEDULE Sundays: 2:00-6:00 pm; Tuesdays: 7:00-10:00 pm; Thursdays: 7:00-10:00 pm; 1st rehearsal: May 7th. Tech: Sun July 9th 12:00-8:00 pm, July 10-12th 6:30-10:30 pm. *Not all cast will be called for every rehearsal. PERFORMANCE SCHEDULE: July 14th- August 6th. Shows are Fridays & Saturdays at 7:30 and Sundays at 2:30. Call time is 1 hour before curtain. Please bring any and all conflicts to the auditions. You must be available for all shows and all of tech week to audition. AUDITION MATERIALS: - Please bring a head-shot & resume and prepare one of the following provided tracks for the corresponding role you are auditioning for. - Directors will provide the same track at your audition; no need to bring a track or sheet music. - Cold readings from the script may also be provided at the audition. A retired Austrian naval captain. Polished yet very military in the way he runs his life to repress his sadness over the death of his wife. Underneath, he is warm, understanding, and determined. Gender: Male presenting Vocal range: F#2/Gb2- D5
Charming and energetic; a man of sophistication who enjoys the good life; true and loyal friend to the von Trapp family. Gender: Male presenting Vocal range: D3- F4
A baroness of taste and elegance, sophisticated, dignified, and mature. Gender: Female presenting Vocal range: D4-F5
Motherly, understanding, strong and authoritative, but kind. Gender: Female presenting Vocal range: B3-G#5/Ab5
Mistress of Novices, prudish, straight-laced with a quick tongue. She is less tolerant than the other nuns. Gender: Female presenting Age: Flexible Vocal range: C4-E5
Mistress of Postulants, very kind, understanding, and concerned. Gender: Female presenting Age: Flexible Vocal range: B3-E5

The von Trapp butler, rather formal but not without spirit. He is very German and loyal to the Fascist cause. Gender: Male presenting Speaking Role
The stoic housekeeper. She does her job efficiently but without affection. Strong and somewhat dominating. Gender: Female presenting Age: 30+/ Speaking Role
Stern and unsmiling, a typical Nazi official whose primary concern is to see that everyone toes the line. Gender: Male presenting Age: Flexible/ Speaking Role
Suitor to Liesl, telegram delivery boy, later Nazi sold. A very pleasant young man, somewhat aggressive but in a gentle way. Gender: Male presenting To portray age: 17 Vocal range: C4-E5
(B3-E5, to portray age 16) The oldest child, blossoming into a young lady with an interest in boys. She has a maternal edge to her and cares very deeply for her younger siblings.
