About the project: The Music Man follows fast-talking traveling salesman, Harold Hill, as he cons the people of River City, Iowa, into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys' band that he vows to organize – this, despite the fact that he doesn't know a trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian, the librarian, who transforms him into a respectable citizen by the curtain's fall. Rate: Unpaid. Additional info: If callbacks are needed, they will be on March 7th at 7 pm. Please prepare 32 measures of a song of your choice and bring a backing track. Be prepared to do a cold reading. Rehearsals will start in April. The show runs from June into early July, Friday/Saturday/Sunday. Younger actors may be double-cast. If you are interested, please apply.
