Casting Call for "Weird In Public" Production

About the project: A groundbreakingly theatrical tale about how to love during the social collapse. An American businessman and Hungarian linguist conquer the language barrier and fall deeply in love, only to be plagued by an unnamed social illness. Their passionate love survives the contortion of their bodies and the breaking of their national spirit and even turns them into hand puppets in their quest to find a way forward. The Danube will thrill fans of weird theater and is perfect for actors looking for a meaningful script by a genius playwright and a chance to engage their emotional range and physical acting skills. Rate: Actors will receive a $20 stipend and a cut of any profits the production makes. Additional info: lease prepare a 1-2 minute dramatic monologue, you may be asked to read sides from the script. Performances are April 21-22nd, 2023. Rehearsals will begin in late February. A full rehearsal schedule will be established shortly after casting with mostly night rehearsals Monday-Wednesday and select Sundays. Proof of vaccination and boosters are required prior to casting.
