A bi-racial god-like figure in the sport of Baseball. His status and regard are unparalleled. Darren is well equipped to be the center of attention and expects to be the leader in all situations. This position could lead a lot of people to become arrogant, but Darren maintains respect and humility even though he sometimes views himself as a figurehead rather than a real human being.
Darren’s financial advisor who comes to love the sport of baseball after Darren announces that he is gay. Mason’s interests are personal and then end up going beyond, as he discovers a true passion for the game and the man that introduced him to it.
