Rate: Special Agreement $1,220 weekly minimum + pending contractual increase. Additional info: There are 8 performances in each playing week. Full vaccination against COVID-19 will be required of all casting hires. An Equity Monitor will not be provided. The producer will run all aspects of this audition. Equity’s contracts prohibit discrimination. Directors are seeking dancers that excel in ballet, jazz, and/or tap; acro/tumbling is a plus (see breakdown below). Performers who do not identify with either gender are welcome to attend the dance call of their choosing. Company actively solicits women and actors from historically excluded groups for non-traditional casting opportunities and encourages performers of all ethnic backgrounds, gender identities, ages, and performers with disabilities to attend. PREPARATION All will dance first. Come prepared with sheet music to sing 16 bars in your key if asked. Singing material from the shows listed is acceptable and encouraged. An accompanist will be provided. Equity encourages everyone participating in the auditions to wear a two-ply cloth face mask, surgical mask, singer’s mask or respirator (N95, KN95 or KF94). Single-ply face masks, gaiters and bandanas are not recommended. Equity encourages members to prepare for their audition prior to arriving at the audition venue, to the extent that they can (e.g., get dressed, hair/make-up, etc.) to avoid crowding in bathrooms and dressing rooms. Holding/Audition room information: The audition room can accommodate no more than 30 dancers at a time. The holding room can accommodate no more than 100 individuals at a time.
