About the project: Seeking versatile chorus members who can be cast in multiple shows across the season. Rate: LOA $570 weekly minimum (LOA ref CORST) Additional info: Auditions: Thursday, February 2, 2023 Female Identifying/Presenting Singers who dance: 9:30-12:00pm Male Identifying/Presenting Singers who dance: 12:00 - 1:00PM Lunch 1-2 Female Identifying/Presenting Dancers who sing: 2:00 - 4:00pm Male Identifying/Presenting Dancers who sing: 4:00 - 5:30pm ECC Procedures are in effect for this audition. PREPARATION: Singers: please prepare a 16-32 bar cut that is specific, appropriate and targeted for desired roles for the shows listed in the breakdown. Dancers: please come prepared to dance. Jazz shoes or sneakers are appropriate. Equity encourages everyone participating in the auditions to wear a two-ply cloth face mask, surgical mask, singer’s mask or respirator (N95, KN95 or KF94). Single-ply face masks, gaiters and bandanas are not recommended. Equity encourages members to prepare for their audition prior to arriving at the audition venue, to the extent that they can (e.g., get dressed, hair/make-up, etc.) to avoid crowding in bathrooms and dressing rooms. (male presenting): A Knight of the Roundtable. He is fearless to a bloody fault, but through a twist of fate, does discover his 'softer side.' Excellent with character voices and accents, as he also plays THE FRENCH TAUNTER, an arrogant, condescending, over-the-top Frenchman, the KNIGHT OF NI, an absurd, cartoonish leader of a peculiar group of Knights, and TIM THE ENCHANTER, a ghostly being with a Scottish accent. (male presenting): A Knight of the Roundtable. Begins as Dennis, a lower class 'mud gatherer' who becomes knighted and transforms into the dashing Sir Galahad. Also PRINCE HERBERT'S FATHER, a wealthy, brutish Yorkshireman at odds with his sensitive son, THE BLACK KNIGHT who is always ready to duel despite multiple injuries. Strong baritenor singing. (female presenting): A Diva. Strong, beautiful, possesses mystical powers. The leading lady of the show. Great singing voice, able to sing effortlessly in many styles and vocal registers. "SPAMALOT"
(30+, male or female presenting). The tyrannical headmistress at Matilda's school who despises children. Once a famous athlete, she is described as a "gigantic Holy terror", a "fierce tyrannical monster" who "marches like a storm trooper with long arms swinging" with an "aura of menace". An imposing presence. Vocal range: A2 - G4 "MATILDA"
(female presenting). Matilda's kindhearted teacher. She befriends Matilda. She is tired of living in fear under Miss Trunchbull. A mild, quiet person who never raises her voice and seldom seems to smile - yet possesses the rare gift of being adored by every small child under her care. She should have a curious warmth that is almost tangible. Vocal range: F3 - D5 "MATILDA"

(female presenting, 30+). Matilda's self-absorbed, negligent mother and an amateur ballroom dancer who is obsessed with her amateur Ballroom dancing partner and her looks. (Female presenting). A nurse who comes to Paul’s rescue (seemingly), Annie seems to be a kind, tender woman who cares deeply for Paul, even if she does seem slightly off. As Paul grows to know her it becomes clearer that Annie is manipulative, cunning, and hides a deep set and terrifying malice behind her cheery simple façade. "MISERY"
(Male presenting) A famed romance novelist tired of the series that has brought him the most acclaim. Returning from a retreat to finish his most recent work, he is involved in a terrible car crash that leaves him with broken legs and unable to care for himself. He’s thoughtful, if not a touch arrogant, and extremely crafty. He quickly realizes how dangerous his situation is and must use anything and everything at his disposal to survive. "MISERY"
