About the project: Arthur Przybyszewski owns a decrepit donut shop in the Uptown neighborhood of Chicago. Franco Wicks, a black teenager who is his only employee, wants to change the shop for the better. This comedy-drama by Tony and Pulitzer prize-winning playwright Tracy Letts explores the challenges of letting go of the past and the redemptive power of friendship. Rate: Non-paying production. Additional info: Auditioners are encouraged to come prepared with a brief monologue, and they will be asked to read with others from sides that will be provided. A familiarity with the play is highly recommended. Callbacks, if needed, on February 20 at 7 p.m. Rehearsals will be determined once the show is cast and will be weekday evenings and possibly weekends, beginning before the end of February. Performances are April 21 - May 7 (Friday and Saturdays evenings at 8 p.m. Sunday matinees at 2 p.m.) Please note this is a non-union production.
