About the project: "A sunny room on an upper floor is prime real estate in the Bristol Place Senior Living Facility, so when the cantankerous Abby is forced to share her quarters with new-arrival Marilyn, she has no choice but to get rid of the infuriatingly chipper woman by any means necessary. A seemingly harmless bet between the old women quickly escalates into a dangerous game of one-upmanship that reveals not just the tenacity of these worthy opponents, but also deeper truths that each would rather remain hidden." Additional info: Performances: February 17 - March 5, 2023. Theatre practices an “open casting policy,” which means that all roles are always open, all are invited to audition, and newcomers are always welcome. Please see the document attached.

Resident - Female representing, 60’s plus. Cantankerous, solitary, manipulative, sassy. Just wants to read her i-pad in peace, is not happy that she has to share her room with anyone, especially Marilyn.
Resident - Female representing, 60’s plus. Cheerful, social, optimist, clever. Loves sharing a room with Abby, she reminds her of her late grumpy husband - for better or worse. She wouldn’t mind having the bed closer to the window.
Resident Aide - Male representing. Sympathetic, fun, sassy. Works at Bristol Place Senior living facility, but dreams of being a thespian. Enjoys his work with the elderly, mostly. Has a better relationship with some more than others.
Female representing. Marilyn’s daughter. Loves and cares about Marilyn, delightful, silly, fun.
Male representing. Colleen’s husband. Cares for his mother-in-law, enthusiastic, fun, friendly.
Male representing. Abby’s son. Rough around the edges, strained relationship with Abby, cautious, repentant.
