Claire is Hannah’s younger sister. Claire works two jobs and is roommates with Hannah. Claire does not want to take the risks moving out of an apartment she calls home with her sister. She also is unsure about the direction she wants to take her life in.
Heather's partner in developing new technology. Ana is not in school anymore, but is working for a local startup and contributes by bringing additional perspective that helps direct Heather when she starts to go overboard or fall behind.
Lana is a brilliant woman who is exceptional at math and puzzle solving. She gets distracted by longer math equations and theorems that tickle her interests. She has no interest or connection in either of her project partners, but rather she is only there to complete her side of the tasks, get her grade, and graduate.
Electrical engineering student who works on her senior design project with Lana and Hannah. Michelle is a stickler for the rules. She’s the one who leads the group, decides when they’re meeting, who’s responsible for what element of the project, and when the deadlines are. Neither of the two other women want to cross her or disappoint her, because they care about her opinion but because they don’t want to deal with the headache that comes along when something doesn’t go the way it’s supposed to.
Hannah’s boyfriend, Elijah is a roadie working with bands, traveling across the US. He occasionally comes back to town and surprises Hannah by not telling her his plans. His goal after the tour he's on wraps up is to start pursuing a real estate license and working for local firms with residential homes, learning the trade, and transitioning to commercial real estate after he has experience under his belt.
