About the project: It’s the last gig for Jesse James: a one-night-only farewell concert starring America’s most notorious desperado. Join Jesse as he reenacts his dramatic rise and fall in this mix of Honky Tonk Cabaret and Wild West Show, Myth & Legend, with a Grand Finale at a place called Northfield, Minnesota. Featuring special guest stars and a few surprises - even for Jesse. The story requires some violence. A fight choreographer will be involved in the rehearsal process for the safety of all. The production requires an ensemble cast with actors to sing, dance, and perform several characters. Because History Theatre is committed to Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, auditions will be held in such a way as to support and encourage all actors, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender expression, sexual orientation, age, ability, and body type. Rate: - History Theatre’s main stage operates under an SPT Contract (Tier 6) agreement AEA (minimum $600.00/wk.) - NON-AEA actors will be paid a minimum of $500.00 a week. Additional info: Please record one (1) contemporary monologue no longer than three (3) minutes in length. Please also record one (1) song – pop, Broadway, or country rock style – no longer than 32 bars in length. Opening: April 29, 2023 – Closing: May 28, 2023 Rehearsals are regularly held Tuesday – Friday from 5:00-10:00 pm and on weekend days.
