The company is holding auditions for "The Christians" Play and looking for actors, please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. About the project: Twenty years ago, Pastor Paul's church was nothing more than a modest storefront. Now he presides over a congregation of thousands, with classrooms for Sunday, a coffee shop in the lobby, and a baptismal font the size of a swimming pool. Today should be a day of celebration but Paul is about to preach a sermon that will shake the foundation of the church's belief. A little big play about faith in America and the trouble with changing your mind. Additional info: Performances are March 24 - 26 and March 31 - April 2, 2023. Please note: evening shows will begin at 7:30 pm and matinees at 2:00 pm. Auditionees will choose a time slot for your audition. These will be small group time slots. Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. Time slots will start at 9:30 am. and run one hour in length. Call-backs, if needed, will be Sunday, October 30th. Please apply, if interested.

The Pastor Paul started a small, storefront church 20 years earlier. The church has now grown in to a popular mega-church. He is idealistic, but also wants to do the right thing. Has power affected him? Maybe. Who knows?
Paul’s Wife Elizabeth has helped Paul as he has grown the small church into the mega-church it is today. She may miss those early days. Sometimes I think she is the smartest person in the play.
Associate Pastor Joshua was a troubled teen when he found this church. He has grown up in this church with Paul as as a mentor. He has been successful in bringing in more young people. He is a strong man.
A Church Elder Jay was part of the early days of the church when it was a small storefront with just a few members. He is a man of integrity and strong faith, and is also a good communicator. He might be a father-figure or older-brother figure for Pastor Paul.
A Congregant-Choir Member Jenny loves this church, which she discovered when a young single mother in-need. She received a lot of help and resources from the congregation and is very loyal and devoted to this church.
There is also an ensemble or choir in the play. Four songs/hymns are sung during the play, and possibly be singing before the play begins. This could be an ensemble of 3 or 4 members, or an actual choir of several members. Musicians are needed as well. If you are interested in this, please make a note of it in your audition form.
