About the project: Three Jewish widows meet once a month for tea before going to visit their husbands’ graves. Ida is sweet-tempered and ready to begin a new life; Lucille is the feisty embodiment of a girl who just wants to have fun; and Doris is priggish and judgmental, particularly when Sam the butcher enters the scene. He meets the widows while visiting his wife’s grave, and Doris and Lucille quickly work to squash the budding romance between him and Ida. The Cemetery Club is a poignant mix of comedy and drama, reminding us to cherish the past while embracing the future. Additional info: Auditions: December 12-13, 2023 Callbacks December 14, 2023 First Rehearsal: January 16, 2023 Tech: February 25-26, 2023 Performances: March 2-19, 2023 - Audition slots will be 45-minute in length and open to 10 people per slot. - You must be available for EVERY technical rehearsal (Friday before Opening through Preview Night) and EVERY performance to be cast in this show.
