The company is holding auditions for "An American in Paris" Show and looking for actors, please see the details below About the project: Set in the French capital in the wake of World War II, An American in Paris tells the romantic story of a young American soldier, a beautiful French girl, and an indomitable European city – each yearning for a new beginning in the aftermath of international conflict. Inspired by the Academy-Award winning 1951 film, the new stage musical features a ravishing score by George and Ira Gershwin and a fresh, sophisticated book by Tony nominee and Pulitzer Prize finalist Craig Lucas. The show's timeless musical numbers include "I Got Rhythm," "'S Wonderful," "But Not for Me," "The Man I Love," "Shall We Dance?" and "(I'll Build A) Stairway to Paradise." Additional info: No appointment is necessary. Invited callbacks will be TBD. What to Bring: Please come with sheet music to a prepared song (16-32 bars) in the classic Broadway style. An accompanist will be provided. Have a second song prepared in the event you are asked to sing again. Dress to dance (please bring ballet and tap shoes just in case.) Please bring a list of conflicts for rehearsals. Conflicts must be included in audition form and will affect casting. Rehearsals: Begin Sunday, December 11. Show rehearses Sunday through Thursday evenings, 7 to 10 pm. Only actors in the songs and scenes being rehearsed will be called to rehearsal. The full cast will be called Monday, January 30- Thursday, February 2. Tech: Sunday, February 5, 2023, from 12 to 4 p.m. (Dinner Break) and 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. (Mandatory) Performances: Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 pm, Sundays at 2 pm, February 10 through March 5, 2023
