"Narnia the Musical" Needs Singers
The company is holding auditions for "Narnia the Musical" and looking for singers, please see the details below About the project: NARNIA: The Musical is a dramatization of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, the first and most famous of acclaimed British author C.S. Lewis’s world-renowned series, The Chronicles of Narnia. It tells of four English schoolchildren – brothers and sisters – sent away from London during World War II to stay in the manor house of their uncle – who stumble upon (and through) a wardrobe into the magical kingdom of Narnia In this spellbound landscape, filled with creatures of myth and fable, the children face temptation and fear, but learn deep lessons of courage, unselfishness, and wisdom that help them grow in spirit and prepare them for life in our world. Rate: All roles are volunteer, unpaid Additional info: DECEMBER Performance Dates: Friday, December 16th at 7 pm Saturday, December 17th at 7 pm Sunday, December 18th at 2 pm Please complete the audition form when you arrive. Please prepare approx 1 minute of a song. You may choose to sing with a karaoke track or a cappella. The BCAC will provide a speaker with an aux cord. Please have your own karaoke track selected and on your device to plug into the aux cord. In addition to singing, you may be asked to read from the script. Callbacks may be needed and will be by invitation only. If needed, they will be held on Tuesday, October 25th from 6-8 pm. Roles will be offered by phone call Wednesday, October 26. Important Dates: (no conflicts allowed during tech week or for any performance dates) First read through - Sunday, October 30 Rehearsal Schedule TBD following casting. The suggested schedule will be 2 weeknights and one weekend day (2-3 hours rehearsal blocks) Tech week will be December 11th, 12th, 13th, and 14th. Performances: December 16th at 7 pm, December 17th at 7 pm, December 18th at 2 pm No rehearsals on Halloween and Thanksgiving (Wed-Sun)
