Actors Needed For "Priest" Project
Casting call for "Priest" (WORKING TITLE) junior project. Seeking actors. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Please see the roles below. About the project: "A new Priest attempts to perform a Baptism while dealing with his past sins." Rate: Unpaid. Additional info: -Non union. -Video auditions. -Shooting dates: Friday/Saturday, October 28th and 29th. Note: Must be comfortable with subject matter that could be considered sexual or violent in nature, and the inclusion of this subject matter in a religious context (specifically Christianity). A young priest looking to prove himself, but on the day he performs his first Baptism he must confront the consequences of his sins. His nervous tics become manifestations of his guilt.
The caretaker of the church and in many ways is Paul's (the lead) mentor, he is kind but he has trouble going outside of his comfort zone.
Is new to Christianity, he is naive but incredibly enthusiastic.
Mary's part in the film is small, but her impact on our main character's life is immense. The simplicity of her character makes her representative of something larger and more universal than the words on the page.
